PORTRAITS
The "Man In A Hat Collection" was inspired from a recent trip to Paris in early 2019, having purchased a black Fedora for the chilly weather we were experiencing walking around the "city of lights." I was obviously also influenced by the famous Belgian surrealist, Rene Magritte, (1898 - 1967) whose work I’ve always admired, and is best known for his great works "Son Of Man," "The Treachery of Images,” "The Lovers" and "Golconda," It was during this trip I began taking a series of anonymous self portrait photographs, which have transformed into this series of original oil paintings and digital prints.
