Mark Raynes Roberts began taking photographs in 1975 when he purchased his first SLR camera. Since then his images have been exhibited at the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, and featured in numerous publications such as Forbes FYI Magazine, Ornamentum, Exile Literary Magazine, Write, Jo Lee Magazine, Zoomer Magazine, Revue Magazine, Traditional Home Magazine, Toronto Star, and Canada’s National Newspaper, the Globe & Mail. Since the success of his 2015 ILLUMINATION portrait exhibition at the Gardiner Museum, he has been commissioned by such noted Canadian authors as Conrad Black, the award-winning Aboriginal Canadian author, Eden Robinson and famed illustrator Anita Kunz.
